Getting Started with Skein for Music Lessons
Skein is built for music teachers who need one clean place for courses, lessons, and teaching material. Instead of sending PDFs, recordings, videos, and links through different channels, each student can find the right resources inside the lesson.
Create your course structure
Start with the courses you teach regularly. A course can represent a student, a group, or a subject area depending on how you organize your teaching. Lessons are then grouped by date, so recent work stays easy to find.
Add lesson material
For each lesson, add the resources the student needs: sheet music, audio examples, videos, images, or useful links. Teacher notes can be added directly to the lesson, which keeps instructions close to the material.
Make review easier
Students can search lessons, reopen resources, and mark work as done. For teachers, this keeps the learning history clearer than a folder full of unnamed files or a long message thread.
The goal is simple: less admin around every lesson, and more time spent on music.
